This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the basics of hematology, focusing on the composition and components of blood, blood cell formation and functions, and the mechanisms of blood coagulation. The course also covers common hematological disorders such as different types of anemia, coagulation disorders, leukemia, lymphoma, and bone marrow diseases, along with their pathogenesis, laboratory diagnostic investigations such as complete blood count (CBC) and coagulation tests, and basic principles of treatment, linking this to clinical application.
