Basics of Nephrology

This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the basics of nephrology, focusing on the anatomical and histological structure of the kidney and urinary system, renal physiology and the mechanisms regulating fluid and electrolyte balance, blood pressure, and acid–base homeostasis. The course also covers common renal disorders such as acute and chronic kidney failure, glomerulonephritis, urinary tract infections, kidney stones, and nephrotic syndrome, along with their pathogenesis, laboratory and imaging diagnostic investigations, and basic principles of treatment, linking this to clinical application.
