Health & Illness in the Community (HIC)

This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the concepts of health and illness at the community level, focusing on the factors affecting individual and population health, the foundations of primary healthcare, disease prevention, and health promotion. The course also addresses the environmental, social, and economic determinants of health, and the role of community medicine in diagnosis, intervention, and prevention, linking these concepts to practical application in healthcare.
